City of Georgetown Mandatory Water Restrictions

Mandatory Water Restrictions

Starting on May 1 and lasting through September 30, the following restrictions apply to outdoor water use for the City of Georgetown water customers.

Water no more than 3 times a week.
Follow this schedule for irrigation systems and sprinklers, based on the last digit of your address number:
 
Odd addresses -- Tuesday and/or Thursday and/or Saturday
Even addresses -- Wednesday and/or Friday and/or Sunday
 
Watering is not permitted during the day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Watering with a hand-held hose or bucket can be done any time of day. Violations of these restrictions may result in fines.

Irrigation start times for automatic irrigation controllers are based upon the last digit of the customer address as follows:

Last digit:       Start time:
0 or 8              12 a.m.
1 or 9              1 a.m.
2                      2 a.m.
3                      3 a.m.
4                      4 a.m.
5                      5 a.m.
6                      6 a.m.
7                      7 a.m.
