Christmas tree recycling in Georgetown
The City of Georgetown is offering free Christmas tree recycling. Trees should have all
decorations removed and can be dropped off at the following location: Collection Station, 250 W.L.
Walden Drive,
January 2-30. Mulch is available year-round at the same location. For more information, call
930-8131.
Sun City Pavilion
The CA signed an agreement with Abitibi Bowater enabling residents to recycle their
paper products. The resulting funds will be donated to Georgetown ISD through their McKinney-Vento
Project. This is a Homeless Education Act and state law to protect the rights of Homeless Children
and Youth. The Paper Retriever is located at the Pavilion and can accept all paper except telephone
books and cardboard. Please do not include plastic, glass, metals or trash. Your participation in
this endeavor is greatly appreciated.
