All Sun City women golfers: Come join us! The WGA
9-Holers tee off on Tuesdays, alternating weekly play among all three Sun City golf courses. In
addition, golfers are encouraged to attend our monthly general meetings, which are held on the
second Tuesday after play. Our club also has several social events throughout the year, such
as a wine and cheese party, holiday luncheon, and dinner with spouses.
Five large golfing events are held each year. The Eclectic
Tournament and the Sun Bowl Invitational are held in the spring, the Member-Member and the
President’s Cup Tournaments take place in the summer, and our Club Championship and the Rally for
the Cure Tournament are held in the fall. The Eclectic, President’s Cup and Rally for the Cure
Tournaments are one-day events whereas the Member-Member and Club Championship Tournaments are
played on two successive Tuesdays. We invite other clubs from the surrounding area to participate
with us in our one-day Sun Bowl Invitational. Following all tournaments, a social event is
held to encourage fellowship, present awards, and eat.
Tidbits:
- All players must establish a handicap with the GHIN system and play
with our club five times to be eligible for prizes. NOTE: You must pay a GHIN
handicapping fee at the Legacy Hills Pro Shop.
- Dues ($40) are paid annually to our club.
- Sign-up sheet for play-day game is located at Legacy Hills Pro
Shop.
- Deadline for signing up to play is 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday prior
to the following Tuesday play-date.
- Foursomes are assigned randomly by computer and are normally NOT
flighted.
- By not being assigned to a flight, this allows for getting to know
and enjoy playing with more member of the WGA 9-hole group.
- You may play one time as a guest to find out for yourself what a
great time we have.
Go by the Legacy Hills Pro Shop and pick up your application form
or download one from this website. Following completion, please return the form and a check
for the dues to the Pro Shop and sign up for play.
