Square-dancing is a participatory activity which requires either
a live or taped caller and music, so we're not able to perform without some notice. It's not really
meant to be a "spectator sport" so dancers need to rehearse a couple of times before dancing for an
audience so the square won't "break down". However, if given a couple of weeks notice, we are happy
to get a square or two together to dance for nursing homes or schools. Because we enjoy
square-dancing so much, we love to pass that enthusiasm for this original American dance form to
others, especially kids.
