EAGLES BASEBALL TEAM SEASON ENDS WITH LOSS TO KLEIN IN AREA ROUND GAME 3
Another great season for the Georgetown Eagles baseball team ended again in the Area round of the playoffs. After winning game one 2-1 and losing game two 2-3, the Eagles fell behind 3-1 in the first three innings Saturday evening. Georgetown had two tough calls that led to two of the three additional runs scored by Klein. Meanwhile, the pitching for Klein was very tough on Georgetown hitters through the first five innings. Then Arron Collins led off the 6th inning with a long home run. The Eagles followed that with three consecutive hits, but were only able to get one more run when they couldn't come up with a clutch hit. Both teams went scoreless in the 7th inning to end the game. Klein 6 Georgetown 3.
They finish the season with a record of 26 - 6 -1. They finished district at 14 - 4 which was good enough for 2nd place. Congratulations Eagles!
GEORGETOWN LADY EAGLE BASKETBALL BANQUET
The Georgetown Lady Eagles Basketball Banquet will be on Sunday, May 20th, 2012. A reception will start things off in the Georgetown main gym foyer at 3:00pm and refreshments will be served. At 3:45pm the program will begin next door in the Performance Art Center (PAC).
