MS Word Intro
Two, 2-hour classes
Fee: $10
Prerequisites:
All of the following (or
equivalent experience
):

Computer Intro (or Intro to Personal Computers 101 and 102)

Windows 1 (or Windows 101)
-
Windows 2 (or Windows 102 Files and Folders)
Description: This class introduces the student to the MS Word program, describes
the document preparation screen, and introduces the student to skills necessary to produce a
typical single-page document.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

Identify the features of the MS Word screen including menus, toolbars, status bar,
and document preparation area.

Enter text using the keyboard.

Select text using the mouse or keyboard.
-
Add, delete, copy, and move text.
-
Change margins, fonts, paragraph spacing and indentation, and pagination to improve
the appearance of a document.

Print and save a document for future use.

Use Help to learn additional features of MS Word.
