Windows Internet Browsers

One, two-hour session

Description: This course introduces you to the most popular Internet browsers and search engines and shows you how to set your preferred choice as your default. If you are unfamiliar with the term "google it" and do not know how to set several search engines onto your desktop for convenient and quick use, then come to this class. You will enjoy "surfing the Net" and will become more proficient and confident in your understanding of the differences, similarities, and advantages/disadvantages of each of the applications.
Objectives & Course Summary: Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Download a Browser of your choice,
- Set a desktop shortcut to that browser,
- Understand the advantages and disadvantages of each of the browers,
- Understand the nuances of various search engines and,
- Use each of them to locate reliable information on the World Wide Web
