Scanning Windows XP
Two, 2-hour classes
Fee: $10
Prerequisites:
This class uses the Windows XP Scanning and Camera Wizard program, and it is
available only on XP systems. This program is not available on Vista systems.
All of the following (or
equivalent experience
):

Computer Intro (or Intro to Personal Computers 101 and 102)

Windows 1 (or Windows 101)
-
Windows 2 (or Windows 102 Files and Folders)
In this class you will gain confidence in your ability to perform the following
tasks:

Understand the definition of Digital Imaging

Determine which resolution to use in scanning
-
How file size and resolution interact
-
Select the appropriate file format for your scan

Scan a photo directly into other application programs, such as Photoshop
Elements for editing

Scan a document or newspaper article into Word, using Optical Character
Recognition (OCR)
