Computer Back Up

Description: This course shows you how to create a process and a method to back up
the contents of the various drives located on your computer. The back-up
process will protect you from loss of documents and important data should your computer
fail. Protect yourself from computer failure by learning how to back up your data and
documents. This class is technical and will require a basic understanding of files & folders.
Prerequisites: Windows 1 & 2 XP and/or Vista 1 & 2
Objectives & Course Summary: Upon completion of this course, you will be
able to:

execute Windows System Restore function
-
understand and use imaging programs

create a full backup
-
create incremental backups at frequent intervals

establish a regular and familiar routine of backup procedures

understand the free downloads versus the paid backup systems on the Internet
-
understand the nuances of partitions and complete and full system restore
-
understand the uses of external backup devices or media
-
make and use a boot disc for catastrophic system restore
