You Did THAT With Graduated Tint?

Creatively using Graduated Tint Effect

 

Why Graduated Tint?

  1. To add color in some bland areas of your photo
  2. To enhance and highlight otherwise drab shades of color
  3. Blend in colors to any edge area of your photo

  


How to Use Graduated Tint:

  1. Bring your photo into Edit Mode and Click Effects Tab
  2. Click Graduated Tint
  3. Use green crosshairs to shift tint area across the top of photo

a.      Drag Feather slider to left for a clear delineation of tint area

b.     Raise or lower the crosshairs for higher or lower tint line

c.      Drag crosshairs to or click at left or right of photo to change angle

d.     Repeat a and b to adjust tint area.

  1. Click on the color square and select a color from the display of choices or drag cursor over color square until tint is desired color.
  2. Finally, use shade slider and feather slider to adjust tint area
  3. Click Apply

 


How use Graduated Tint on any edge of your photo:

  1. Begin with steps 1 and 2 above.
  2. Rotate your photo so that edge you want to tint is at top.
  3. Follow steps 3, 4, 5 and 6 above.
  4. For Picasa2 (For Picasa 3 go to step 5)
    1. Rotate photo back to normal position
    2. Save a copy if desired this will be a permanent undoable copy
  5. For Picasa3
    1. Save a copy by File>Save a copy to create a copy of the rotated photo in the same folder.
    2. Return to Library and select the saved rotated copy for editing.
    3. Rotate photo back to normal position.
