Displaying Menubar
Follow these steps to set Internet Explorer 7.0 as the default browser so that whenever you click on a link, Internet Explorer will be the browser that is loaded.
Go to Tools -> Internet Options> Programs tab or
o in Vista: Start> type default> Default Programs> Set your default programs
Click the Make Default button. If that button is disabled, that means that Internet Explorer is already the default browser If you checkmark the option "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser", then every time you start Internet Explorer, you will encounter the following dialog if it is not set as the default browser.
If you do not want to set Internet Explorer as the default browser, you should go to your browser of choice and set that as you default browser. Then uncheck the options "Always perform this check when starting Internet Explorer" and/or the option "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser" in the above two dialogs of Internet Explorer.

Internet Explorer 7.0 has a full-screen mode feature. Suppose you are viewing a website and want to see more of it at one time without needing to scroll.
Just press F11 and the browser frame and header disappear and the browser area fills your entire screen...
All you see is the scroll bars and the status bar at the bottom.
But now how do you get back the regular browser window Just press F11 again.
Or if you want access to the controls, move your mouse cursor to the top of the screen and the browser controls reappears...
The most notable and much awaited feature of Internet Explorer 7.0 is its tabbed windows -- also known as tabbed browsing.
Let's say that you are currently on a website and want to look at another website. Instead of starting up another instance of Internet Explorer, you can put the second website in a different tab of the same Internet Explorer.
To open another tab, do Ctrl-T or click the empty new tab.
To close a tabbed window, you simply click the X icon on the current tab...
or do Ctrl-W.
If you want to close a tab other than the current tab, you can right-click on the tab that you want to close. Then select Close from the context menu.
If you have a lot of tabs open and you want to close all tabs except for one, then right click on the one tab that you want to remain open. And then select Close Other Tabs from the context menu.
Normally when you click on a link on a webpage, the destination page will replace the current page. If you want the destination page to go onto a new tab, you click the link while holding down the Ctrl key
Alternatively, you can right-click on the link and select Open in New Tab from the context menu. This is great when you are on a page with several interesting links that you want to look at later. You simply open them in new window without having to leave your current page. And when you are done with the current page, you got all the link destinations in the other tabs to go back to.
Normally, when you type a new URL into the address bar and hit Enter, the new URL will replace the page in the current tab. If instead you want the new URL to go into a new tab, hit Alt-Enter instead.
Having multiple tab capabilities also means that you can have multiple home pages in Internet Explorer 7.0.
To set up a default home page in Internet Explorer 7.0, you navigate to the web page. Then click the drop down arrow of the Home icon and select Add or Change Home Page from the context menu.
In the resulting dialog, select Webpage as your only home page and click Yes.
Now every time you launch Internet Explorer, you this website will load.
If you want Internet Explorer to load additional websites upon startup, you can add additional home pages in other tabs. To do so, navigate to the site you want to add. Then click the drop down arrow of the Home icon and select Add or Change Home Page from the context menu as before.
This time, select Add this webpage to your home page tabs in the resulting dialog.
Now both sites will load upon Internet Explorer 7.0 startup. This is handy if you always like to have your favorite search engine up and also your web mail and also you favorite news site, etc.
What if you don't want any sites to load upon browser start up You just want an empty page so the browser doesn't have to take extra time loading sites.
Go to the Home icon context menu again and select Remove. Now you can remove individual homepages or you can remove all home pages with the Remove All menu item. We are going to select the Remove All menu.
Say yes to the resulting dialog...
And now when the browser loads, you will see a blank page.
If you click the upper-right close icon of Internet Explorer 7.0, you are not closing just the current window. You are closing all of the tabs along with the browser. And Internet Explorer 7.0 warns you of this with the following dialog.

But after a while, this dialog might get annoying. In which case, you can click the Show Options button and checkmark the "Do not show me this dialog again" option...

You might have noticed that there is also the "Open these the next time I use Internet Explorer" option -- which is great when you want to "remember" the pages that you have open so that you come back to it later. Your pages will be "remembered" even if you had turned off your computer.
