Burning files/folders to CDs/DVDs
using Win7's Explorer

1. Mount CD or DVD into burner drive first: (Link)

AutoPlay Window appears. Choose:

  • Burn an audio CD using Windows Media Player (if CD mounted)
    --or--
  • Burn a DVD video disc using Windows DVD Maker (if DVD mounted)
    --or--
  • Burn Files to Disc using Windows Explorer
      Burn a Disc window appears - Enter desired disc name and choose:
        • Like a USB flash drive (Live File System)
          --or--
        • With a CD/DVD player (Mastered)
      Follow the prompts
    Note: Other options may appear depending on other installed apps


2. Starting with Computer/Explorer:

  a. Find and select file(s) or folder(s) to copy to CD or DVD.
  b. Right-click on selection
  c. Point at Send To
  d. Click on burner drive
  e. Mount an appropriate recordable disk if/when so prompted
  f. Burn a Disc window appears - Enter desired disc name and choose:
        • Like a USB flash drive (Live File System)
          --or--
        • With a CD/DVD player (Mastered)
  g. Follow the prompts
