Steps in using eBay:

1) Register-enter your information and an email will be sent to you. You must respond to this email with the proper code number to activate your account.

2) Browse or search-enter the name of the item you are looking for. Narrow or expand your search by using the customize display feature. Check the postage required, the sellers feedback file, days left in the auction, and the complete description of the article.

3) Bid or Buy-Determine what you will pay and enter that amount. Ebay will bid for you automatically, in 50-cent increments, up to the amount you specify. Hint: wait until the auction is almost over before bidding to get the best price. If you want it right away, some items have a Buy it Now feature so you can buy it immediately and have it sent to you.

Ebay sends notices to your email telling you of the progress of the auction, whether you are the winning bid, or out-bid.

4) Buy-PayPal is the easiest. Sign up for this separately from eBay. You must enter a credit card number and/or a bank routing number. There is a careful confirmation of this information before Paypal will be activated, so if you know youll want to use Paypal, sign up for it a few days before you plan to bid on items. If you dont use Paypal, you CAN send a check or money order to the seller, but you will have to wait for the check to clear the bank before they will mail out your item. When you click the Pay Now tab, the address of the seller will be given, so you can mail your check.

5) Leave feedback-after you receive your item, be sure to email

feedback to eBay concerning your experience. The rating will affect the sellers reputation.
