Announcements

Computer Club on Channel 79 – News and Views (Channel 79) will showcase the Computer Club on September 1, 2, and 3 at 11 am, 2 pm, and 6 pm following a 42 minute video about Sun City in 2007.  Then the Computer Club is showcased in an hour long video completed in 2008.  This is a chance to see the entire Media Conversion segment from our July tapings. We will show the Computer Club video again Wednesday, October 1 on News and Views.

Weather Sites and How to Use Them -   John Bosch, Presenter

You will see many weather sites available on the Internet and be given examples of their use. These are quite informative, especially if we have severe weather approaching our area. Once you learn how to use these sites, you can be the best informed person in your neighborhood.

Lab Monitor Training

Without our volunteers we couldn’t keep our lab open.   Have you thought about becoming a Lab Monitor?  Monitors are not expected to be experts on the operation of lab equipment, but are there to assist people with such things as signing in or signing up for classes. As a new monitor you will be paired with an experienced monitor and can choose to work the dates and times that fit your schedule. If you have not yet been trained as a monitor, and would like to be, send an e-mail to   monitors2@sctxcompclub.org

If you are signed up for a training class and cannot attend, please be sure to inform either the instructor or a Lab monitor. Someone else may be waiting for a chance to take the class.
