Removal of Drop-Down Menus

Research done by Dave Dobbins suggested that by not having drop-down menus on our website, the time to access the site would be significantly reduced. A test site was established to test Dave's hypothesis. Several people compared access time to both the test site and the current site, and most of them found that the access time to the test site was reduced 1/3 to 1/2 the time needed to access the current site. Consequently, it was determined to remove the drop-down menus, because many members had expressed frustration at the length of time it took for the Computer Club website to appear.

Removal of the drop-down menus not only speeds up access to this website, it will also make maneuvering within the site faster.

To access any area of the website, simply click on an item in the navigation bar, and all the links that were in the drop-down menu for that item will be displayed on the next page.
