DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, coordinates, and oversees the social events of the Club, including, but not
limited to, food and beverage services and event planning for the Annual Meetings, Receptions/Open
Houses functions, and other events as determined by the Executive Board.
Ensures that advance reservations of facilities are made. Suggests menus,
decorations, and timing and sequencing of events, and sees that tickets or other admission
instruments are secured and distributed. Publicizes the events well in advance through
various means, and keeps the Executive Board informed on the status of planned and projected
events. Provides direction to a staff of assistants and/or committee members, as needed and
appropriate
REPORTS TO:
The Club President, who outlines overall objectives, provides guidance, and resolves unusual
problem situations. Within this framework, duties are accomplished on own initiative within
the scope of the direction and review of the Executive Board.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Overall knowledge of the Computer Club organization and functions. Organizational and
communication skills; ability to plan and coordinate the social activities of the Club; and skill
in establishing interpersonal relationships.
