UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Monitor Vests – Don Snapp and Gael Miller will provide any information Nancy Roll needs in designing a different vest for the Monitors to wear.

Web Portal – The Web Portal is currently in its testing phase.  On July 13th a report will be made and features demonstrated to the CA Board of Directors.  Timing, and publicity and presentations to the residents will be determined after the July 13th meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

System Administrators – Peter Roll, Dick Smith, Gael Miller, Dick Doane, Bruce Cottrill and Jim Hackett will be reviewing the duties and responsibilities of the System Administrators.  More emphasis will be given to training SAs on network recovery and trouble shooting.  More people should be trained to step in when these problems occur.

Mentors – Dick Doane showed the tracking charts made up by Darrylin Coleman that are being kept to analyze the types and frequencies of requests that are being handled by the mentors.  All Computer Club members needing help are to be encouraged to fill out a request form for help form via the Club’s web page.  If this is not possible due to the nature of their computer problems, then the mentors can fill them out to record the work.

OTHER BUSINESS

Junior Camp – The camp this year was deemed a success.  Based on all the favorable feedback, the time the campers spend in the computer lab is becoming the favorite highlight.  Processing DVD’s for the campers went smoothly.

Gael reminded the Board that the Ball Room reopening is scheduled for July 14th with a July 21st fall back date.  Tables will be set up for Sun City Clubs to present their activities.  People will be needed from 10:00 – 2:00 at the Computer Club table.  The projector will be used for the first time on July 19th at the New Homeowner Orientation.

The next Executive Board Meeting will be 9:00 A.M. Thursday, August 3, 2006, at the Sun City CyberCenter Meeting Room.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 A.M.
