Executive Board Meeting Minutes

December 16, 2011

Meeting was opened by Nan at 1:00

Minutes were discussed

Treasurer's report read by Cindy as follows:

Oct. Report:  Started Oct. with $21,5224.70

                            Revenue was 1,688.32

                            Expenses were 4,265.84

                            Ended month with $18,947.18

Nov. Report:  Started Nov. with $18,947.18

                             Revenue was 8,612.56

                             Expenses were 6,350.85

                             Ended month with $21,208.89

The outgoing board met with the members of the 2012 board: Nancy Dubbs,

Jamie Haymes, Laurie Mankin, Sandy Dolan and Cindy Hernandez to help

with a smooth transition for the new board.  Paperwork and notebooks

were passed from the current board to the new board.

Vickie gave an update on the Kiln room and the kiln that

was fried.  Cliff did take a look at the kiln and it is a complete

loss, it can not be repaired.  The board and membership has options:

Cliff will remove the ruined kiln for $150 and if it's decided that it

will be replaced, then the $150 will be credited to the replacement

kiln.

Jamie volunteered to be the new Kiln Room Guru replacing Vickie for the

upcoming year (we really want to thank Vickie for her hard work with

getting the kiln room in proper shape and loaders trained).  There will

be a simplified loading checklist developed to help the loaders with

their task and some loader retraining will be necessary.  Those who

need additional training will be contacted.

Nan adjourned the meeting at 2:30.

The 2011 Executive Board wants to thank all the membership for their

continued involvement with the clay studio and all of the time that our

members spend to help make the studio run smoothly...without all of the

volunteer time spent by so many members we just couldn't operate the

hours that we do and fire as much as we do...so thank you again.  We

wish for  all of our membership to  have a happy and safe holiday

season and hope to see everyone  at the studio.
