The Support Group, formed in 1999, provides
support to survivors of prostate cancer and men recently diagnosed with prostate cancer;
provides
education presentations regarding prostate cancer to men and women of the general public;
and
advocates the early diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
Activities and Resourcesinclude: Two monthly meetings with professional speakers; a
lending library of books, newsletters, DVD and VHS; participation in Community Outreach
Programs;
support to local hospitals and centers; and mentoring.
