The Sun City Texas Social Bridge Club is a fun place to play the great game of Bridge. We play three days per week at the Activity Center. The emphasis of our club is on the SOCIAL aspect of Bridge.

Mondays and Wednesdays official play begins at 12:15 p.m. We have cancelled the Thursday morning game due to lack of participation.   We have added a Thursday evening game (6:00 to 9:00 p.m.)  Players may pre-arrange a partner or find one at the game. We play four hands and six tables so everyone plays 24 hands of Bridge. We use a system which requires that players change partners after each table. This gives us an opportunity to play with a variety of players and meet new players and friends.

We currently have nearly 200 members. We usually have 12 to 18 tables on Monday and Wednesday. Thursday evening attendance is lighter usually having 5 to 7 tables. We use the Goren Scoring Method. Most of our players bid convenient minors. Conventions commonly used are Club, Blackwood, and some bid Stayman.

Each member is encouraged to act as "angel" during the year. The angels set up the room, supervise play, award the prizes and store the supplies when play is finished.  Shirley Griffin is the Angel Coordinator for 2009.

Our annual social function is our Holiday Party held during the month of December.

Our playing rules are very relaxed to encourage a social and enjoyable atmosphere.

Annual dues are $8.00. Players of all levels are welcomed and encouraged to join us.
