Property and Grounds Committee
CHARTER – VETERANS MEMORIAL ADVISORY GROUP
1.
Charter.
The Property and Grounds Committee of the Sun
City Texas Community Association hereby charters the Veterans Memorial Advisory Group as an
entity under the Property and Grounds Committee.
2.
Purpose.
The purpose of the Veterans Memorial Advisory
Group is to advise and assist the Community Association (CA) and the Property and Grounds
Committee in matters pertaining to the Veterans Memorial Plaza.
3.
Responsibilities.
The Veterans Memorial Advisory Group is
responsible for:

Overseeing the use, maintenance, and improvement of the Veterans Memorial Plaza, and
making recommendations pertaining thereto to the
Board of Directors through the Property and Grounds Committee.

Actively encouraging use of the plaza for appropriate activities by residents and
organizations through Williamson County.

Ordering engraved bricks purchased through the CA and arranging for their
installation on the plaza.

Determining the location of new trees in the area of the Memorial in coordination
with the donor(s).
4.
Committee Organization.

The Veterans Memorial Advisory Group will consist of five to nine veterans approved
by the Property and Grounds Committee.
Group members may
be members of the SCTCA or residents elsewhere in Williamson County, however, a
majority of the members must be members of the SCTCA.
Membership from the various veterans’ organizations will be sought.

Members will serve two-year terms and may be re-appointed.

The advisory group will elect its own chairperson and other officers; however, the
chairperson must be a SCTCA member.

The advisory group will prepare and submit copies of its minutes to the CA Executive
Director in accordance with CA rules and policies.
